To the Honor of Almighty God…

July 30 @ 1:02 pm

Watch recordings of the Perpetual Profession of Vows and First Profession of Vows Here

Our Motherhouse in Ann Arbor was overflowing with joy and festivities July 21-23 as three Sisters professed Perpetual Vows, eight Sisters professed Temporary Vows, and our twelve Postulants received the Dominican habit and became Novices! We praise God for the generous response to His call that these, our dear Sisters, have given Him in their complete self-offering by the profession of the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

As our beloved Pope St. John Paul II puts it in Vita Consecrata:

“This is the meaning of the call to the consecrated life: it is an initiative coming wholly from the Father, who asks those whom He has chosen to respond with complete and exclusive devotion. The experience of this gracious love of God is so deep and so powerful that the person called senses the need to respond by unconditionally dedicating her life to God, consecrating to Him all things present and future, and placing them in His hands.”

Sr. Mary Dominic, Sr. Mary Bethany, and
Sr. Maria Benedicta make the sign of the cross during their Mass of Perpetual Profession.
