Lenten Journal – new for 2018

Liturgical Years A, B, C

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we looked upon and touched with our hands concerns the Word of life—1 John 1:1

The season of Lent is a new opportunity to bring ourselves into a deeper contemplation and encounter with Christ. Each page of the journal has beautiful artwork, daily Lenten scripture verses, an area for journaling, a section to prepare for Lent, and is easily portable. Families are enjoying the daily readings at the dinner table and individuals are using the journal to carve out quiet daily spiritual appointments.

Renew your desire to be a disciple of Christ. The three forms of penance—fasting, praying, almsgiving—are a means for you to hear, look upon, and touch Him. Ask yourself, “Have I heard Him?”, “Have I seen Him”, “Have I touched Him?” Jesus Christ is alive! He is inviting you to be an eye witness. Don’t be afraid to spend the next forty days reading and meditating on the Word of God, for “indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12).
