Dominican Jubilee Celebration in Texas!

Thank you to all who helped make this event a success. On October 22, the Sisters celebrated the 800th birthday of the Dominican Order with more than 300 people from different parts of Texas and even some friends from New Mexico! We are also grateful for all the priests who joined us for the event. Fr. Will Stratten from St. Helen Catholic Church offered the opening prayer and blessing, and the Sisters invited the guests to pray the rosary at the Prayer Garden. Afterwards, Mother Assumpta provided an update on the Construction Project of the Texas Religious House. We had a wonderful performance by the Round Rock Folklorico Group, while adults and children enjoyed delicious cupcakes baked by our wonderful volunteers. Please enjoy the lovely pictures below, courtesy of Courtney Petiprin!
