The 2018-2019 school year was our inaugural year in our northern-most mission! We packed our snow boots and were ready to embrace our warm Minnesota welcome and the Polar Vortex of January 2019! Saint Agnes School, which has a rich history of beautiful liturgy and priestly/religious vocations, has quickly become our home.
We have Sisters teaching in both the Upper and Lower Schools. One Sister is even teaching Latin to elementary students, which goes along with Saint Agnes’ commitment to the liturgy and high academic standards. Two Sisters accompanied 22 Upper School students who traveled to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. for the first time ever.
Keeping with our Eucharistic charism, the Sisters helped organize a Eucharistic Procession through the entire school with each classroom being blessed as a new part of Saint Agnes’ Catholic Schools Week. The school will also adopt the Sisters’ Education in Virtue® program for the 2019-2020 school year.
Finally, the large and newly renovated convent, dating back to 1953, will house ten Sisters in the summer as they take classes at the Saint Paul Seminary.
We thank God for a wonderful first year in Minnesota!
