Our Sisters began their fourth year at Saint Agnes School in Saint Paul with a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Here they renewed their Total Consecration to Mary and asked for her blessings and protection upon the new school year. It seems the Blessed Mother has let her presence and favor be known to the Sisters and the students at Saint Agnes!
The Saint Agnes School chapter of Militia of the Immaculata has grown since Sister Teresa Christi helped start it last year in the Upper School. On December 8th, 2021 – the feast of the Immaculate Conception – over 30 high schoolers made their Total Consecration to Mary, bringing chapter membership to over 50. This year, Sister Mary Consolata started a Lower School chapter. On May 13th, 2022 – the feast of Our Lady of Fatima – over 30 students in the Lower School were consecrated to the Blessed Mother after attending bi-monthly after school meetings in preparation.
So impressed with the explosion of Marian devotion at Saint Agnes School, the national representative of Militia of the Immaculata visited both the Upper School and Lower School chapters towards the end of the school year. Founded by Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Militia of the Immaculata is an international Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right with over 3 million members in 48 countries.
With gratitude to Our Lady for her love and favor, our Sisters continue to be blessed in their work at Saint Agnes.
