A cash gift may take the form of a one-time donation, or you may elect to spread your gift out over an extended period of time (see “Give Regularly” below). If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, you may be able to deduct the amount of a cash donation from your adjustable gross income. Please consult your tax advisor for deduction requirements and limitations relating to your specific situation.
Making your gift over an extended payment period may enable you to make a more substantial contribution and tailor your specific giving plan to your needs. Generally, gifts may be spread out up to a five-year payment period. Cash payments pursuant to such pledges may be deductible from your adjustable gross income in the year in which they are made.
Please consult your tax advisor for deduction requirements and limitations relating to your specific situation.
