SUMMARY:November 14th 2026 Vocational Discernment Retreat
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nNovember 14 – 15\, 2026\nThe Sisters invite you to join them on a spiritual retreat that includes Holy Mass\, Divine Office\, Rosary and the opportunity to enjoy time with the Sisters. You will hear conferences given about Mary and the Eucharist\, as well as on the specific theme of the retreat. Please note: Vocational Discernment Retreats are for young women between the ages of 18 (out of high school) and 30. \n\nSo what are the vocation retreats really like?\nWhy do so many young women\, often numbering well over a hundred\, come for a twenty-four hour retreat? What is it that attracts them from all parts of the United States and Canada? For each young woman\, the answer is different and the experience unique. \nThe following are a few glimpses of the retreats in the words of the young women who have experienced the retreats themselves: \n“For years\, I wondered whether I was called to religious life but never had the courage to really explore it as a possible vocation. It was when I spent the weekend with the Dominican Sisters of Mary\, Mother of the Eucharist that God created a greater openness in my heart to whatever my vocation might be. I was able to understand both the beauty of religious life and the beauty of marriage. The willingness of the Sisters to listen and guide me has been a grace far beyond anything I could imagine—one for which I will thank them for the rest of my life.” \n“Whatever fears about discernment I carried were dispelled upon seeing the joy of the Sisters\, their love for our Lord\, for one another\, and for each person they encountered. On retreat\, I witnessed the beauty of their charism and received their invitation to simply be with the Lord. The Sisters’ beautiful reflections on the retreat’s theme\, ‘The Father’s House\,’ coupled with our time in Eucharistic Adoration\, helped me receive the Father’s love more deeply in my heart. As the Lord continued to unfold these graces\, my discernment began to simplify as I focused more and more on believing in His love for me and in receiving my identity as a daughter of the Father.” \n“I have been to many retreats and conferences\, but this retreat was different from them in the best way—I could focus on my prayer and what Christ wanted to communicate to me through the retreat. It was the perfect opportunity to place myself outside of my comfort zone in my prayer and become more willing to follow what Christ has planned for my life…Not only did the retreat help me discern what my vocation is\, but it gave me the ability to recenter myself on my first vocation of holiness…I would recommend all women to attend this retreat because it provides the opportunity to focus our eyes on Christ.” \n\nWhat to Bring:\n\nSleeping bag\nRosary\nSmall ($3-5) gift\, wrapped in newspaper for a game at Recreation\nThe most important item: A wide open heart for Jesus and Mary to fill!\n\nArrive by 2:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the retreat.\nLeave after lunch on Sunday (around 3:00 p.m.)\nCost: Nonrefundable $35 registration fee. Please pay online using the form below.
