On August 28th, the Feast of St. Augustine, we received 13 new Postulants into our community. Life abounds! Reflecting on the unique gift that each Sister is and brings to the community and the Church, Mother Assumpta said, “We will never be the same.” Each life alters existence as we know it!
One such life which all generations will call blessed is that of Mary, the Mother of God. On September 8th, the Church celebrates the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Holy Church, with the heart and mind of a Mother, appropriately marks the birth of Mary nine months after the great feast of Mary’s Immaculate Conception (December 8th). When Mary entered into our world, so did the potency for her “Yes”, which enabled the realization of God’s plan for the Salvation of the world through His only Begotten Son.
In today’s culture, a religious vocation requires nurturing similar to that of a Mother bringing a child into this world. It is a delicate yet formidable call requiring much prayer and courage. Mary’s “Yes” continues to breathe life into our world! We entrust each of these new vocations to the hands of Mary—the same loving hands that held Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.
Please pray for our new Postulants and for more vocations to the Universal Church and to our Community. Be assured or our prayers for you as well!

Sept. 5 marks our community’s memorial for our deceased friends and benefactors. These special souls were remembered in our Mass and Divine Office on this day.
Father, source of forgiveness and salvation for all mankind, hear our prayer. By the prayers of the ever-virgin Mary, may our friends and benefactors who have gone from this world come to share eternal happiness with all your saints.
