A Dominican Soul does not jealously guard its faith for itself. It longs to bear the torch of faith everywhere on land and sea, in every country, to the ends of the earth.
Disciples of Christ, Education in Virtue
The Disciple of Christ- Education in Virtue® is a Christian curriculum structured on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas regarding the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
It aims to provide a consistent structure and systematic instruction for youth to learn about the virtues so that they can form the habits and dispositions necessary to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. This curriculum emphasizes Christian discipleship as indispensable toward human flourishing and the quest for joy. It has been developed in response to the call for a New Evangelization, firmly conveying the reality that happiness is found in a life of holiness.
The practical resources provide an intuitive means to learn about the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and enable one to discover that happiness is living virtuously as a disciple of Christ.
“Remain in Me” Catechesis
As stated in the book’s introduction: “Remain In Me contains our ambitions, dreams and goals for the spiritual formation which lies at the heart of each SSA. It is intended to serve as an organic and integral approach for nurturing the Baptismal graces already present in the soul of each child.”
It is hoped that this manual might serve to assist other Catholic schools, parishes and home-schooling families in their endeavors to plan a solid faith formation program for their youth.
The book contains the prayerful and studied efforts of the administration, teachers and staff of Spiritus Sanctus Academies to bring to their students a deeper and more abiding relationship with Christ Who alone is “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:16)
Talks and Lectures
A Dominican Soul “does not jealously guard its faith for itself. It longs to bear the torch of faith everywhere on land and sea, in every country, to the ends of the earth. This soul belongs to that race of apostles who have been prophetically designated by the Church from their earliest days as champions of the faith and true lights of the world: Pugiles fidei et vera mundi lumina. We have here the key to the whole Dominican vocation: to live, defend and propagate the faith in the atmosphere of the church.”
(Fr. M.M. Philipon, OP – Dominican Soul)
As Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, our hearts long to have the Kingdom of our Eucharistic Spouse established in the souls of all we meet. Like so many ancient icons of the Madonna, we seek to point out Christ as the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE. For the most part, this burning zeal for souls finds its outlet in the classroom where we seek to feed and fan the flame of faith in our students. The call for the New Evangelization also calls our Sisters all over creation to proclaim the goodness of the Lord!

Catechesis: Communion with Jesus Christ
The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist have once again extended their apostolic outreach to a global television audience through the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). The series, Catechesis: Communion with Jesus Christ, looks at the importance of educating our young people in the faith. The Sisters encourage their students to deepen their personal relationship with Christ by guiding them through a series of meditations on the Gospels.
EWTN continues to air the previously recorded episodes of the Truth in the Heart series in an effort to provide children with the opportunity to receive Catholic education from religious sisters. The Truth in the Heart series is 25-part television series. During each half-hour show, one of the Sisters teaches a lesson on the basic Truths of our faith, using Holy Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church as their foundation. The shows presently air on Monday through Friday at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern).
