After many requests for the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist to teach all over the country, this fall, the Sisters are launching the Lumen Ecclesiae Learning Portal with two courses that will extend their teaching to a wider classroom. Now, the Sisters can teach Catholic content inside your school or home!
The Lumen Ecclesiae Learning Portal will be a place for you, your children, and/or students to participate in courses taught by the Sisters, priests, and laypeople. The educational and catechetical content is instructive, engaging, and professionally produced. We invite you to preview a demonstration of the two courses launching this fall. Demos are available for each course!
The first course is Cultivating the Virtues—an engaging course for K-4th grade students to explore all of the virtues. This enjoyable course has a unit on each virtue containing multiple videos with several worksheets and DIY kits. With the “Cultivating the Virtues” course, kids will be able to enjoy watching a Sister teach on the virtues—whether in-person school resumes or if learning remote needs to take place.
The second course is our Life of Christ Lectio Divina Companion. This is the ultimate package to accompany our best-selling lectio divina journal. With over 70 units, this video series guides students in practicing lectio divina—the habit of prayerfully reading Scripture.
